Cancer is the plague of us all...

So you may know but you may not, let me start at the top.
First off, I am getting personal, one of my New Year resolutions, to go deeper but we shall see how that goes..

My mom, three years ago had cancer, it wasn't anything dramatic it was just thyroid cancer.

A little gathered cancerous tissue nothing much.  She was under six hours, unlike the scan she took it

was golf ball sized and tangled with her vocal cords and lymph nodes.

Thanks be to God they got it all out and she was able to come home the same day.

There are many ways to balance your thyroid and it is a important part of your body.

Botox injections were an option as was radiation but she took the homeopathic way.

She couldn't talk for awhile, had to eat soft foods and had to take a lot of different medicines but she

began to gradually get better.

 Or so we thought.

A month ago she had another annual checkup and the doctors saw something they didn't like, they told her she should get a radioactive treatment done.

So she started Tuesday and had to take a shot. She had a bad migraine.

Yesterday she took the radioactive pill.  The most you can have is like 30 RADS she took 15 RADS.

Nothing too bad.  She began to have a burning in her stomach and she didn't sleep much.  Today is the day of the test to see if there is cancer.

I haven't been able to see her because she can radiate to us.  So please be in prayer for my mother as she is going through this hard time. She will need every prayer to get her through this.

I had cysts on my kidneys when I was little, when I was seven one of them doubled and tripled in size.  If it exploded then I would most likely have kidney cancer.

I couldn't hold anything down, it was a scary time.  I was scheduled for surgery and with my American Girl doll by my side I was rolled into the surgical room.

A nice man told me to hold a mask up to my face.  Knowing this was going to put me to "sleep" I wanted to ask a question.
"Can my dollie stay with me while you get it out?" He smiled and said she wouldn't leave the room.

I breathed into the mask and I remember falling into the doctors arms.

Now that I look back on it- that was a pretty stupid question. But then again I was seven.

Cancer of any kind is scary.  I didn't have a serious cancer, thank God, like breast cancer or leukemia.

I feel badly for the people who have things worse off then we did.  But pity doesn't make anyone feel any better.   Pity just leads the person to depression in my opinion..

So if you are out there and you are going through a tough time with a sickness, genetic disorder or cancer I will pray that you will be cured.

I know you'll make it because if I know you, you are a fighter and we need more of those people on earth.

So push on.  Show this cancer you don't mess around.

Have you or a loved one gone through cancer?
How are you or the person doing today?

and here is a totally random question..

Did you wrap all your Christmas presents yet??
Merry Christmas everyone!

To watch or not to watch LotR???

So I have been curious about the LotR movies. Faith @ Faith
Gray @ Grfay Marie
Say it's awesome but they have yet to watch it/read it
Ivy @ Ivy's blog
And someone I know gave a reason why not to watch it.. the is a friendly debate so please join in the more the merrier.

So on the opposing side, a person who shall not be named said something along the lines of how dark LotR was.. It is filled with Orks, Goblins, Fire Demons and many things. Sure they are exciting but filling your head with demons isn't exactly the best thing to do..  In every book or movie it's always dark vs light, evil vs good, it's just the level of how dark the evil is..
Now what is your opinion on this??  I would like to know:)

That's life *sings song*

So life........
Everyone knows how it goes...
You get caught in this cycle..
You get up, eat, brush teeth, wash face, eat, do devotion, school, possibly blog, write eat lunch if you haven't already, do more school, dinner time, shower, read possibly watch a movie and go to bed... Repeat...
Sound familiar?
Is this cycle good?
We humans are so predictable.. Just this past Sunday our new youth pastors fiance asked me, "Which pew do you sit in?"
And then it hit me... we sit in the same pews, say the same things, even eat the same things..
When we do the same things we don't get out of our comfort zone..

Now I am gonna get a bit personal here.....
I am almost done taking a Evangelism class and I am supposed to walk up to complete strangers and tell them about God...
Me: *tries walking up to a person and walks away them staring after me**
*goes to the same person 5 minutes later* "Hi......."
Person looks at me crazy..
*nervously examines their shopping cart*
Uhhhhh......
Yeah, that's me...Is that you? What's your reaction?
I can do it on the internet easily but in person... *gulps*
God says we need to spread the word....
It's just a matter of stepping out of your comfort zone and diving in the pool.. not dipping your toes in first (hey out there to the toe dippersXD)
So dive! I'll will be there with you;)

You might need a tissue for this post

I cried so you might need a tissue box when you read this
Our world is in desperate need of heroes and heroines who choose to live well in spite of overwhelming circumstances and enormous disappointment. How we choose to live during the most difficult moments of our lives will actually write the story of our legacy.
This is Barbara Johnson's incredible story of pain, disappointment and joy.
Barbara Johnson lived a life filled with the stuff of which most women only dream. Born in 1927, Barbara, as a young woman, married the man of her dreams, had four lively sons in succession, and by the early 1950s was living, literally, the great American dream. The Johnsons were active in their community and especially in their church as youth leaders.
The entire Johnson family was preparing to go with their church on the annual youth retreat in 1966 in the mountains of California. Barbara's husband, Bill, was driving alone while Barbara had the two youngest sons in the car with her. Their two teenage boys were riding with the youth group in the church van. About 10 miles from the resort site, Barbara's headlights beamed on the figure of a large man lying in the middle of the mountain road covered in his own blood. Although he was unidentifiable due to his horrific head injuries, Barbara knew who he was because she had ironed the shirt he was wearing only hours ago. It was her beloved husband and best friend, Bill.
The prognosis was not good, but Bill lived through the unending night. The doctors gently told Barbara there was extensive brain damage and although he might live, the old Bill would be gone. After a week of vigilant prayers, the doctors informed Barbara that Bill was permanently and completely disabled.
There was a possibility that he would be a blind vegetable for the rest of his life, never to leave the hospital. Barbara knew she served a God who delights in touching broken people and making them whole again, and so began Barbara's journey into deepening her faith.
Barbara and her family adopted Mark 10:27 as their life verse: "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible."
One year later, after days of faith and failure, tears and laughter, therapy both mental and physical, and a relentless belief in a healing God, Bill returned to work as a full-time mechanical engineer. He had been healed in spirit and in body!
For one short year, the Johnson family settled back into a normal, but much more thankful routine. Then in 1968, Barbara and Bill's oldest son, Steve, joined the U.S. Marines and was sent to Vietnam. Steve loved the Lord with his whole heart and although the parting was painful, it was also peaceful. On July 28, 1968, the Johnson family learned that their eldest son was safe in the arms of Jesus.
In the summer of 1973, Tim, their second son, took off in a Volkswagen with two friends to "find himself." They spent the summer wandering through Alaska and not only did Tim find himself, he also found Jesus Christ. Tim joined a church fellowship in Alaska and was baptized there. Tim was a changed young man who was now filled with the Holy Spirit, and with purpose and direction.
The desire of Tim's heart was to come home at the end of the summer and to rebuild some bridges he had unfortunately burned. The new Tim wanted to spend time with his parents and with his two younger brothers.
On the night of Aug. 1, 1973, Tim's blue VW was in a head-on collision with a drunk driver who was on the wrong side of the road. Tim was instantly ushered into the arms of his Savior.
In June of 1975, Barbara and Bill discovered that David, their third son, had embraced a gay lifestyle and he then disappeared into the gay community for 11 years with no contact at all with his family.
How does a woman, a mother, go through such horrendous circumstances and not lose her mind? If your name is Barbara Johnson, you start a joy box. Barbara's joy box was just a little shoebox that she began to fill with things that brought her joy. When a note from a friend arrived in the mail, she would put it in her joy box. When she found a Scripture verse that was particularly comforting, she would write it on a card and put it in her joy box. She found a book of jokes from when the boys were little and stuffed that in her, by now, overflowing box. The spring flowers from the yard went in along with a favorite recipe or two.
When her pieces of joy outgrew the shoebox, Barbara bought a plastic tub and began filling the tub with little pieces of life that stirred up joy. When her joy memorabilia no longer fit in her dozens of bins, she emptied their guest bedroom and it became her joy room. When the guest bedroom could no longer hold it all, Bill built an addition onto their California ranch home to fit all of the notes, the poems, the music, the pictures, the Scriptures and the mementos that reminded Barbara and Bill that they served a God of joy.
When a car accident nearly took Barbara Johnson's husband's life, she filled his hospital room with Scriptures, quoted the Word of God over him, and had her sons memorize Scriptures to pray over their beloved dad.
When her first son was killed in Vietnam, she reached out to other mothers who had lost sons and had a cassette tape made with Steve's life story on it. She sent this recording to other grieving mothers and ended Steve's story with the comfort of the hymn, "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."
When her second son, Tim, was killed, she spoke in church that very Sunday morning and the altar was filled with Tim's friends who gave their lives to Jesus.
When her son, David, disappeared for 11 years into the gay community, Barbara began Spatula Ministries to peel parents off the ceiling when their children break their hearts.
Barbara's books have sold millions of copies and she changed hundreds of thousands of people's lives because of her testimony and her refusal to give into depression and hopelessness. Her commitment to embrace joy at the very worst moments of her life took supreme diligence but Barbara managed to do it because of God's power that had been gloriously given to her and because she knew her Father intimately

Princess and the Bride movie summary *for those that didn't answer my first question :)*

A beautiful young woman named Buttercup (what a name...)  lives on a farm in the fictional country of Florin. Whenever she orders the farmhand Westley to do chores for her, he complies and answers "As you wish." Eventually she realizes he loves her and admits her love for him. Westley leaves to seek his fortune so they can marry, but his ship is attacked by the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Five years later, believing Westley is dead, Buttercup reluctantly agrees to marry Prince Humperdinck, heir to the throne of Florin. Before the wedding, she is kidnapped by three outlaws: a short Sicilian boss named Vizzini, a gigantic wrestler from Greenland named Fezzik, and a Spanish fencing master named Inigo Montoya, who seeks revenge against the six-fingered man who killed his father. The outlaws are pursued by Prince Humperdinck with a complement of soldiers, and also by a masked man in black.
The man in black catches up to the outlaws at the top of the Cliffs of Insanity, where he defeats Inigo in a duel and knocks him unconscious, chokes Fezzik until he blacks out, and kills Vizzini by tricking him into drinking poison. When he tells Buttercup he is Roberts, she becomes enraged at him for killing Westley and shoves him into a gorge, wishing death upon him, but she realizes he is Westley himself when he replies "As you wish!" She throws herself into the gorge after him, and they flee through the dangerous Fire Swamp. When they are captured on the other side by Humperdinck and his six-fingered vizier Count Rugen, Buttercup agrees to return with Humperdinck in exchange for Westley's release, but Humperdinck secretly orders Rugen to lock Westley in the castle torture chamber.
When Buttercup expresses unhappiness at marrying Humperdinck, he promises to search for Westley, but his real plan is to start a war with the neighboring country of Guilder by killing Buttercup and framing them for her death. Buttercup taunts Humperdinck after learning that he never tried to find Westley. Enraged, Humperdinck tortures Westley almost to death. Meanwhile, Inigo and Fezzik meet when Humperdinck orders a gang of goons to arrest the thieves in a nearby forest, and Fezzik tells Inigo about Rugen. Inigo decides that they need Westley's help to get into the castle, and when he hears cries of anguish, he realizes they must be from Westley. Inigo and Fezzik find Westley and fear him dead. Upon bringing him to a "magic man", however, they learn that Westley is "only mostly dead", and the magic man revives him to a state of heavy paralysis.
After Westley, Inigo, and Fezzik invade the castle, Humperdinck orders the wedding ceremony shortened and Inigo finds and kills Rugen in a duel, repeatedly reciting his greeting of vengeance: "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Westley finds Buttercup, who is about to commit suicide, and assures her that her marriage is invalid because she never said "I do." Still partly paralyzed, he bluffs his way out of a duel with Humperdinck, then rides away with Buttercup, Inigo, and Fezzik.
And they live happily ever after...

Rumors of bad things

Hello all, sorry I have not put my new header up yet as life has been crazy at the moment but I will be working on that soon. I have heard through rumors that the next Wonder Woman movie might be lesbian. This is terrible news for me as Wonder Woman is my absolute favorite superhero, and I plan to stop this. I want to start a rebellion against this movement and this is where I need your help. Any ideas on how to make this work would be great as I have no clue how to get this going.

Comment on your opinion about the subject and how we can change it.

Our house (I actually have pictures this time!)

So today is the big day. I am posting pictures of our house that we as a family are building. (If you haven't a clue what I am talking about a would suggest scrolling to see my previous posts on Tile etc;)
I like to educate people about being Eco-friendly, healthy and just overall being a good individual for the Lord.
So without further ado I give you the living room/kitchen floors!
Where did we get our tile? At The Tile Shop we got the tile that is porcelain and looks like wood. Now I would like to take a minute (grabs minute from clock;P) to explain that tile does NOT appear this way after you lay it. You have to wash wash wash wash wash and scrub scrub scrub scrub. After you are completely exhausted go the the store and get a grout haze cleaner. (make sure you test it on a scrap piece of tile and not the actual floor) Then wash it with that two or three times. Water with vinegar also helps but please test it out before you put it on your floor. After this you might want to seal it. Why? The grout will come out. Also because it makes your floor shiny. Again, test this out if you don't you will regret it.
This is the same level, we have three levels including the basement,

This is the view

I pinky swear I will post more pics when I have more time.

Is comfort good?

So I feel that God has laid this on my heart. Please comment on your thoughts as I like to know what my readers think.

We as Americans across our country have grown too comfortable. What I mean by that? Well, if it's

not fitting to you or comfortable for you don't do it. Now what is the problem with this you might

ask? Being to comfortable can lead to getting caught up in your own world and not caring or doing

anything for anyone else. aka, selfishness. Now I might be coming on too strong but truth be told,

someone has to say something. When your comfortable do you want to move?

Do you want to go out of your way to do stuff for people?

The answer is no, we are growing too comfortable and we need to get uncomfortable. What do I mean by that?

When we are uncomfortable that is where we grow. Now grow in a good way or a bad way is up to you.
In my bio I said that I wanted to be a missionary, this is true but I also learned something. I thought,

"God, it would be easier for me to be a missionary if I won the lottery, I could do everything."

But did God say being a Christian will be easy?

No, of course not. (Sorry for those who signed up as Christians thinking everything is multiplied bread and fish:)
John 15:2 says, "He cuts off every branch from me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so you will be even more fruitful."
Also in John 15:18 "If the world hates you, keep in mind it hated me first."

But why is everything so hard?
What is your purpose?
The purpose (I believe anyway) for everyone is to bring each other to Christ. That's out purpose. If it wasn't hard would you try your best? If everything was easy would you still give it all you got?
God is everything.

Sorry I went on a ramble but please comment on your thoughts on this issue.

Polls

So recently y'all voted on what I should post about..

The most scariest moment in my life...

I'll have to admit the scariest was probably when I was 11 or 12 years old (man that makes me sound old) it was December and we were going to our church to see the birth of baby Jesus play that they were holding down by the football fields.

We parked in the parking lot which was at at a slope and called the church.

No one answered so we parked it.

Guess what? Black ice.

We slowly started scooting downwards and we all (kids) were getting pretty scared.

Mom was away at drill and no one was answering their phone.

The church was locked.

Then by one of God's miracles he put an idea into a man's head.

The man went to the church and prayed at the cross, which is in our parking lot. He saw us and helped dad push the SUV back up into concrete.

Comment below if you want to share your thoughts!
Any personal tips if that happens again? Have you had something like that ever happen to you?

Life is busy, too busy for writing?

Never! Never!

XD more like my head can't think of anything.

I am fast on the mend thank God and working on house hoping to get it done since we might have a early winter.

There is a rooglewood press story contest going around and I have been working on it for many moons but I hit a road block.

Yep.
Love those.

So after hoping for a month and a half I would get back to writing I still had nothing. So I decided to go a whooooooole new different direction.
                                                            THE UNDOING OF AN APPLE
"I was never a normal child. I knew that. It surprised me that Miss Sailmid called me average today, she's never called any of her students that before. She is always very encouraging, very patient which isn't what one would normally expect of a assassin's trainer. I joined when I was a baby. My mother allowed them to do experiments on me when I was a embryo and when she had me she handed me over to the government. At least if I was a orphan I could say my parents had no choice but she did. That is the most saddest part. Things are always busy here, we have to keep moving so the government won't take us back again. There are five students as of now, there used to be five more but the government got them so now they are probably getting some tests, being prodded and poked, basically being treated as a test animals. I have changed identities so many times I have almost forgotten my real name. Angel. My friends joke around and nickname me the Angel of Death. Doubt I'll ever be that fierce. My name now in North Carolina is Cassie. I am a science experiment, a human weapon if you must. A test subject. I loathe it. I am going to be on the black market in two days, every one who graduates does. I shall miss being young but I know that I always dreamed of growing up and now I wish I was younger. I think maybe that's just me. I am altered, it makes me feel like a freak but I've also come to know a somewhat comforting fact. Those who are not normal wish to be normal and those who think themselves normal wish to be different. It's a curious sort of thing. I have been told I am blunt and I am an over thinker, I have killed about fifteen people. Man, that sounds scary. I don't enjoy doing it, it's the only thing I seem to be good at and designed for. I make two rules. One, that I won't torture anyone unless I have to. Two, I only kill those who I deem "bad guys," people the world can live without. I can see glimpses of the future when my altered genes want to and I can summon elements at will. It may sound awesome but it's not. I feel like something is about to change, I don't know exactly what but I have my stuff packed just in case. They say journaling helps with psycho issues but writing down my thoughts makes me feel stupid and vulnerable. I hear the emergency bell ringing, write more later." I finish writing and stuff the book into my backpack.

Comment on your thoughts! Too dark?? I would loooooooove any and all tips!

Sick

So we are working hard on our house getting schoolwork done when all of a sudden Re (my youngest sister) comes down with a sinus infection (we think anyway)

The following day my sister Iz gets sick.

"Great, now it's my turn," I say to myself (I often talk to myself)

Two days pass and besides feeling more tired than usual I am fine.

Then I woke up today and had a bit of a headache.

"No problem! I can do this!"

We put in interior doors and doorframes inside the house work on some trim for the windows.

Mom leaves for work, check on my college credit class then it hits me like a brick wall.

"I need to sleep," I say again to myself (you all probably think I am crazy now XD)

and I take a THREE HOUR nap feeling like I took a fifteen minute one. Love getting sick. It's rainy here so at least I'm down on a good day. But as I try to say, "It could be worse...." then it gets worse XD

Are you feeling well?

Any fall plans?

Hope all is well!

Hmm I dont know what I should name this one

Thought those two were the topping on the cake. Anyway, I am thinking about holding a contest and I want ya'lls  opinion on it

Book review

So here is the description of the book.
Peter and the Shadow Thieves
So this is a totally awesome book, here is a pic

The first book is Peter and the Starcatchers, after that is this book.

Peter leaves the relative safety of Mollusk Island along with his trusted companion Tinker Bell - for

the cold damp dangerous streets of London. On a difficult journey across the sea, he and Tink

discover the mysterious and deadly Lord Ombra, who is intent on recovering missing starstuff-

celestial dust that contains unimaginable powers. In London, Peter attempts to track down the

indomitable Molly, hoping that together they can combat Ombra's determined forces. But London is

not Mollusk Island; Peter is not the boy he used to be; and Lord Ombra-The Shadow Master- is

unlike anything Peter, or the world has ever seen.

Be sure to pick it up and you may never return! XD
Has anyone read this book? What did you think of it?

Just some things I thought I would mention:)

To be really great in a little thing, to be truly noble and heroic in the insipid details of everyday life.
Is a virtue so rare as to be worthy of canonization.

-Harriet Beecher Stowe

A Christian worldview is not a set of sunglasses that tint your vision to the truth.

It's not an antibacterial disinfectant that you can spray on your door knobs in order to destroy the bad bacteria of a morality and lies that attempts to come in from elsewhere.

A Christian worldview is not an incantation that you say three times while clicking your heels together in order to give you invincibility and invaluable Heavenly wisdom.

The beginning of a Christian worldview is wisdom and the beginning of wisdom is fear and trust. Fear the lord and trust him, and you have already begun to be wise.

But this fearing and trusting implies relationship, personal interaction and communion.

This, what we mean by a Christian worldview is actually something which might be more accurately termed as Christian loyalty.

To have a Christian worldview is not know certain words or catchphrases; it is not to flip a mental spiritual switch; and it doesn't even mean always being right.

It means being loyal to the One who was always right.

foundation of our new house

So this goes back awhile but I figured I could blog about it..
We have an ICF foundation, Insulating Concrete Form for a basement.
What it basically is, is Styrofoam that is around 4 inches thick and 3 inches of concrete sandwiched between another layer of Styrofoam.

Any questions? Do you have a ICF foundation?

Poetry

So I thought I would share this, God has placed this on m heart and I hope it touches yours.
"Hurry, hurry, no time to waste no mistakes today! How little do people know that we are all human.
We are all in a great rush to get move'n
That we miss the Bible and getting spiritually fit
We forget Bible = base so to the burning pit
That's where we're fit to go
But Jesus said no
Sacrificing for us
He gave His life which wasn't a must
We have spent all our time, energy and money to have fun and have a life of comfort down here
But really how short is life?
When all you do is strife?

God is love and when you love that's light
Someone although try as they might
Cannot turn it into night
If you keep God in your sight
You might have a great flight
Heavenward

Okay so me and my family are very natural and non gmo, no dye hardly any gluten sort of people.

We prefer natural stuff more than pills.

We aren't extremists though, if you a violently throwing up and complaining that you have a fever for a week then it's time to take you in to the ER.

So today I was going to talk about peppermint.

If you look at the time I posted this blog, it's really early.

Part of that is because I am sleeping over at a church with volleyball team and for some odd reason the AC isn't working.. Anyway back to Peppermint

What is it good for?

It's good for headaches, nausea, motion sickness and many more that I can't think of at the moment XD

What do I do if I have a headache and want Peppermint?

Apply a drop or two to your palm and rub your first finger into it. After your finger has got a lot of it on there rub on temples of head and third eye. (Middle of head)

Also rub at the nape of the back of your neck and your big toes.

What do I do with peppermint when I have nausea and motion sickness?

Put some on your thumb and suck on it for a minute or so, this clears up your throat and your sinuses. Rub on belly button, clock wise because your DNA is clock wise.

Always rub any oil clock wise because you're DNA is wound clock wise.

What if I got some accidentally in my eye?

Out of personal experience do not try to flush your eye out with water. DO NOT it will just make it worse. So the trick is to get a Q-tip and get coconut oil or avocado

oil on the end and put it into your tear duct of your eye. Do not shove it in there, gently place, this is your eye..The oil will pull any oils (plant oils that is) from your

eyes.

Another thing is that there is a quality  of oils, some brands may dilute theirs and others have full strength, we as a family, use Young Living oils and found them quite

trustworthy..

Do you have oils? Do you have a favorite oil? Are you natural? Want to share some tips? Comment below!

Dementia, Alzheimers and Memory Loss

Dementia is something that me and my family are struggling with right now. We are guardians of an

old man who has been like a grandfather to us.  It is a condition much like Alzheimer, I really don't

know the difference to tell you the truth.  We recently put him in a home for memory care and we go

up to visit him often. It is a wake up call when some random older person walks up to you, "There is

something about this place.... I can't remember though, can you help me try and find out?" or when

that angry disgruntled lady gives you the stink eye. Hollering throughout the room saying, "If you'll

pipe down so will we!"  It's super funny yet saddening at the same time, you see the funniest things.

On the flip side sometimes they get really paranoid and angry, sometimes to the point where you just have to walk away.

Tile

So sorry all for not posting anything, we have been working with tile and grout lately so I have had no time to blog.

So here are some important things about tile.

Make sure you get a good grout,

Measure twice cut once,

Make sure that you get a professional to lay the tile,

Grouting is hard work, get siblings and family to help out, this is most important cleaning up right after they just grouted.

If you don't get it clean you'll have to do a LOT of scrubbing later.

Use a sponge and a bucket of water to wipe grout, one wipe each side of the sponge and rinse VERY frequently.

Let it cure for the number of hrs on package. So not wipe area after you already did as directed above, it will get the grout out of the cracks and you'll have more a mess.

Please please please wear knee pads or a knee cushion. (Do not say you don't need it. You will need it)

Again my apologies for not keeping the schedule and I will try to get posting ASAP

A perfectly nice day...

Car crashed or almost, we all have had experience driving crashes.

Well, here are some of my families crashes

1 it involves a 4 wheeler, no not fun. I ran into a tree and bent the framing of the wheeler. Positive side: My dad couldn't believed I walked away from it without injury. God was watching over me that day.

2 Me again, can't seem not to wreck a wheeler XD...
So we are remodeling the pre-civil war log cabin and Dad asks me, "Honey, could you do me a favor and ride up to the house to get a mudding trough."

Me: "Sure Dad."  So I hop on the four wheeler and ride up. Just as I was cresting the hill I thought to myself, "I haven't had a wreck in a while."

Note: it is not safe to turn an old four wheeler on a dime going at an angle on a hill. NOT GOOD. Of course this is what silly old me did..
The wheeler tipped and I jumped off. Long story short, four wheeler was fine and I had to go to the emergency room because I broke my wrist..

Life lessons...

3 We were coming home from church one night, on the interstate when a semi- truck comes into our lane trying to dodge a car that is flipped upside down in the middle of interstate.

It turned so sharply I thought it was going to roll onto us.

Not exaggerating. Mom sped up,l semi truck was fine, all of this happened under 30 seconds.

Again I believe God saved us. It just shows you that life can be normal one second and the next gone.

So spend each day like it's your last, you never know when you'll go to heaven.

So What's New?

Now that I am back figured we could chat if you had the time. You see, I like to know my readers, helps me get to know you a bit better:) The poll is another you can answer:)

So if you could watch only one movie for a year what would it be?

If you decided to take a trip with a 100 people, where would you go?

Which sounds better, having a bunch friends but none close to you or would you rather have a couple of friends that are close to you?

If you had to live somewhere for the rest of your life and never move, where would you go?

Joke time! (feel free to share your own jokes.. You might notice Indiana Jones in a couple...

DRUMROLL plz?

Okay so here is the recent stories I am writing (because how can I right just one at a time?)
font it a bit weird ;/
First is Snow White contest one, please comment on anything in your opinion that should be changed!
Second my favorite novela that I hath written. or is it wrote? grammar. Well, here it goes!
NOTE title may change as I have yet to make up my mind

The Undoing of an Apple

Snow pumped her legs faster, dodging and weaving between the trees and rock-strewn territory, nimble as a mountain goat.  Faster!  She thought leaping a small creek at full speed.  Her foot skidded in the mud; she was sprawled out onto her back in the ice-cold water.  The water was shocking but felt terrific during this summer heat.  She had to get up before it got to her!  Too late, the creature was already upon her, ready to spring and devour- baa!
“Lucy!  You’re supposed to be pretending to be a poor soul coming after me, hopeful that once it has a mortals’ soul will be able to be finally at peace.  You’re supposed to be terrifying-”
Baa!  A small white goat interrupted her and affectionately began to nimble at her masters’ hair.
“All right, you win, enough pretend for one day.  It’s getting late we should probably get back to the house.”
Lucy, careful not to get a hoof wet, jumped across the creek and waited for her master to follow.  Snow got up and wringed out her waist length black, slightly curled hair.
“If only these trees could come alive.  We could sing, dance and talk together,” she said dreamily aloud.  Aunt had told her stories of when such things happened but also why they never came out.  An evil force called the Mirs forced them to retreat into the roots of their tree homes, sleeping until the evil time was over.  Or so aunt said.  Baa!  Lucy crow hopped along the narrow goat path.  Sighing, Snow flung her damp hair behind her and trudged along the pathway.  Fingering a lock of her hair while walking, she gazed up into the sky.
“How few look up at the sky compared to the many that keep their eyes on the ground.”  Lucy baaed, adding her own opinion, that, the tastier things were on the ground.  Snow started running down the small path to the house, Lucy at her side.  As Snow neared the house which was shabbily built she saw her aunt lying at the threshold of their front door. Why was she lying down?  Kneeling by her aunt’s side, brushing back a lock of dark brown hair, Snow didn’t know what to do; her aunt was foaming at the mouth and twisting in pain.  Snow broke down crying, as her aunt tried to talk.
“Nev-never f-f-forget……. L-love, who you are, things are, are about to change- be you.”
Aunt stopped moving, her eyes cast heavenward a slight smile on her face.  Sobs racked Snow’s body, tears rushing down, hugging her aunt for the last time.  Aunt was the only person she knew where would she go?  Lucy lay down beside aunt knowing something really wrong happened.
Drawing herself together she choked out a hoarse whisper in her aunts’ ear, “I am Snow, princess of Isgare, daughter of a valiant king and queen who fought bravely to keep their kingdom from the evil wiles of the king of Aasiatt.  My parents were gifted, as am I, we are marked with our gifts, they are our burden to carry as well as our joy.  I will never forget who I am.”

yes I love cliffhangers;)

A lot of kinks in this one...
2062                                          The Mark of the Peacock

Standing in a single file line, Luna was next.  The line was there for people who wanted jobs; there was almost always a line now that Dasan V was ruling.  Dasan was a greedy and ruthless king; rumor had it that he wanted to start an army of forever young and agile youth to conquer America.  Since the Nuclear War between the nations, American had been in ruins: their government going haywire.  The country in which Dasan ruled in is called Greenland, which was neutral for the most part during the war.  It was mostly cold there and continued growing colder since winter was nearly on their doorstep.  At least 10 people were in front of Luna, so she took this time to remember what drove her to the job seeking line.
11 years before
It was a nice warm day which was unusual for March but 9 year old Luna didn't care.  She was happily skipping along the wind whipped grass while she played with her parents.  Today was her birthday; they were taking the long walk to the store, they were going to pick up the cake at the bakery.  Her dad went into the general store while Luna and her mother went to the bakery; her dad had to pick up a present.  When they met in the middle of the square of the town, her dad looked worried.  “What’s troubling you?” asked Luna’s mother while they walked back to their house.  Without saying a word, he handed her a two paged piece of paper which look like an edict from the newly crowned king Dasan.

By order of King Dasan,
Anyone who fails to speak English shall be tortured and put to death.  If you hear someone speak in a different language and will not tell the authorities you will suffer the same fate.  If someone is found with a firearm, they shall pay the same price.  Due to low income, there will be no cars, airplanes, buses or electrical\battery powered devices.  You will have ten days to rid yourselves of these items.  You may dispose of them when my metal truck visits your town.  You will have 10 days to drop these things off when my metal truck comes through.  I will distribute things such as scissors, needles; cooking pots etc after all metal is collected.  My soldiers will search every property and house to find these hereby forbidden things.  If anyone is found in possessions of one of the things, then I shall personally torture and kill the traitor and the family myself.  If there is any uprising you shall be quieted.
I, herby pass this as the law.
Dasan V
Luna’s mother gasped and almost fainted.  Seeing her mother in such a terrible state.  Luna asked her mother what was wrong.  Her parent couldn’t hide or shield her from the new laws, so they told the news to their beloved daughter.
Exactly one year had passed and Luna and her family had begun to adapt to life without electricity, cars or anything with batteries. Indeed, many villages rebelled against the totalitarianism of Dasan.  Exactly a year after the first edict one was released, a second one also came out.
My subjects,
To keep track of payments, whose family and more necessary information, of an individual, I have written another law.  I hereby command a tattoo to be given to each person who is under my reign of power.  I am setting up stations in each village to give this tattoo.  If you are but a humble peasant you shall receive a tattoo that resembles the face of a dog.  If you are not a peasant than you shall receive a mark, head of a peacock.  If you are royalty you are to be given the whole animal of the peacock.  Each tattoo is different; this will avoid confusion between classes.  The tattoo is given to children if they are 2 years or older.  If anyone does not obey this command I shall set fire to that entire village except those with the tattoo.
I hereby pass this as the law,
Dasan V
Luna had never seen her parents so angry.  Every single person in Luna’s village rebelled against this law.  Luna didn’t see what was wrong.  It was just a picture of a dog.  When she asked her parents why they were rebelling, they said that they had taken an oath.  Luna immediately wanted to take the oath too; her parents agreed, and decided to allow their daughter to take the oath, that night.  “I, Luna Cozar, take an oath that no mark or any such thing that God had not given me by birth shall not be on my body.  Nothing can undo what I have just said and I will face death if need be than to violate my oath.”  Her parents started crying when Luna had finished.  After she had taken her oath she went to bed wondering why she felt so different than before she had taken the oath.  Then it happened.  Dasan attacked her village a year exactly after the second edict, without warning.  She could still hear the wailing of children taken away from their parents and killed before their very eyes.  They dragged the children to a large cart that had iron bars and a door and thrown them inside.  POUND!  POUND!  THUD!  The guards were trying to bust down Luna’s door.  “Take this, may the watch guide you and the locket protect you.”  Her mother whispered to Luna shoving her father’s watch and her own locket that they had kept despite the ban.  Showing their daughter where to step, they made her climb a post that held up the house which was connected to a large beam.  For reasons unknown to Luna, her parents did not join her upon that rafter but instead, let the guards bust down the door and find them.  She lay on her belly first on the rough wooden rafter watching silently in agony to see what was to become of her parents.  She bit her lip and it began to bleed.  Dasan appeared among the guards.  Dressed in black, he drew his sword and spoke to her parents not in English.  Luckily, Luna’s parents taught her every language they knew despite the law, “Weird though, that Dasan would break his own law.”  Thought Luna to herself, trying to hear what Dasan was saying, but due to the height of the rafters she could only catch snippets since she was up so high.  “Albert!  Why are you doing this?  Are we not your family?”  Luna’s mother asked.  These questions seemed to make Dasan even more angry and violent.  Luna nearly gasped when her mother said this.  They were related to Dasan!  “Receive the mark or I will be forced to kill you.”  Growled Dasan angrily, “You know what you must do!”  Cried her parents faithfully, holding each other.  Gritting his teeth, Dasan lunged, finishing them both.  Luna bit her lip hard to keep from screaming out of anger.  Leaving her parents crumpled on the ground, Dasan turned to the guards.  “Take all the children, kill their parents, burn every home but this one.”  He ordered in English, stepping out the door and onto a horse, riding it back into the night.  Luna stayed up on the rafter until the sun rose; even then she still wasn’t convinced they were gone.  She couldn’t bear to look at her parents, so she stood in the doorway, watching the plumes of smoke rising from the ashes of houses.  This had to be the worst birthday ever.  Why would Dasan keep doing edicts and end up killing her people on her birthday?  Those were her last thoughts before she ran, far away from the massacre.
