What I Want To Be When I Grow Up

Dreams.....

So I figured since I am sharing some of my families life stories why not share my aspiring dreams?

My dad is a firefighter, EMS, SWAT team and was in the army in his glory days. My mother retired

from the military, Air Force, and is working at the local ER. This mixture in my parents has created

sharpshooter kids and talking about disintegrating bodies during dinner. (never bothered me but it

does bother grandparents just so you know) I want to be a missionary and want to go into the CSI

field, not sure on what exactly in that field. I want to be a missionary but not go out of the country

because to me, USA needs just as much help as the other countries. The problem is that I can't be

both, it really won't work so I am praying hard lol.  If you have any ideas on how this might work

comment below.

How We Got Our Farm Name

It was just 5 or 6 years ago when mom saw the auction sign. She loves auctions, so we left our

suburban home and drove 5 miles along a majorly twisting road.  When we finally got there there

was people gathered all around, the auctioneer, we found out goes to our church. There was an old

lady who was dying so she was selling her farm into three different properties.  She had a nice brick

home which came with pond, a couple barns and lots of fencing. My mom walked up and got a

number, we drove down a little farther to a house which the old lady let these people stay in for free.

It was gross, it was supposed to be part log cabin but it just looked like, well, a mess. It was infested

with mice, wasps, not to mention they smoked and forgot how to clean.  It came with a lot of land

which was untouched,  a pre-civil war tobacco barn, a sliver shed, a old garage, a shed and a sink

hole of a potato cellar. No fencing. Well, as luck would have it we got the part I thought was worth

the least amount of money the "log cabin" and the surrounding 60 acres.  Mom drove us home

beaming saying things like, "We are going to have to totally remodel that house!" and other things

that required work. This was going to be work, I thought then, I see now that is was.....

An adventure, yeah, adventure.  We decided to name our farm Green Acres after the TV show about

a city slicker couple moving to the country and knowing nothing.  Yep, that is us, except the couple

has three unruly girls.  That my friends, is how we got our farm name.

My Bio

My computer name is Ry. Nice to meet you. *Sticks hand through screen and shakes hand* This is my bio, here you're going to read all about me.  Well, not technically all but you're going to know a huge chunk about me.  I have two sisters, I am the oldest, the youngest one has guts and the middle child has talent for anything and everything.  I am a Christian and totally not perfect so you might find many typos, long sentences and other English errors.  My favorite color is blue, I live on a farm and have raised many animals.  You'll see the sub pages for those stories soon. We are currently building a house. We tried to have a meat CSA thing and we are still trying, we just have too much on our plate. (Who doesn't?) I like to do any activity that is outdoors including climbing trees, whittling, wood burning, playing with animals outside and running in the tall grass until I run into a fence post. I am a super hero fan and a HUGE book reader. I love to laugh, the kind that makes your stomach ache and creates good friends. I am a music person, music, oxygen, food, water, in that order. I see more people read this than all the other pages so to sum up my whole life, I have to say, I am blogging about life. Why? Because someone might read this and think that they aren't alone in that situation. Also I like to make friends so that's another plus. Some of the music I like includes: Hollyn, Tobymac, some of Blanca, Britt Nicole, Lindsey Stirling, Hanneke Cassel, (I know I didn't spell that right) Maried Nesbitt and I love 50s 60s and some of 70s. We are the Champions my friends *plays air guitar* or Respect by Aretha Franklin :) Sam Cooke is talented....I hope that you enjoy reading and laughing all the way. I have a simple life and I live in a complicated world so it ought to make it interesting.  You'll learn more about me as I write our stories, I am sure all who read them will relate to it in some way.
