Heroes Wanted

Just had a huuuge thought.  Why do we all like superheroes??

I know, I know, they are awesome, have powers, adventures, friends and make everything right in the end.

FALSE

The reason why adore superheroes and why they are adored are because.....

No, because we need someone who isn't normal, someone who stands up for what is right, someone 

who stuck out so much everyone else decided they were awesome.  We need someone to believe in, 

to trust that they will always do the right thing.  But you already know that don't you?

We want someone to save the day, we want that person to be us. WE want everyone to look up to us, to be loved and adored and to be feared by the bad guys. 

Reality will kick in, that will never happen, there are no such things as superheroes.

Point made.

Did anyone ever do anything by saying, "There is no real hero, there is just a bunch of bad guys picking on the poor people and anyone who tries to stand up is silenced. 

Jesus was a hero, Einstein was a hero, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison and alllll the behind the scenes people who get no credit are the unsung heroes.  

The underdogs they are.

(Yes I talked like Yoda;)

Think of what you could do.  You are so much more powerful than people believe and with God's help you could move mountains.

I had to post since yesterdays was really short and pathetic.

My Cedarville College CU Lead visit

Okay.


There were some good things and there was some bad.

First it was a four hour drive.. So we (my dad and me:D) got there and we put the luggage in a room.  They gave me a name tag and meal tickets, the pre-conference didn't start until 3 and it was only 1:30.  So we head off to the cafeteria, it was huge.  Actually as a writer I should use a stronger descriptive adjective but I am lazy XD


Anyway after lunch we got to take a campus tour and then it was time for the pre-conference.  My dad was sad and happy (mostly near tears my poor dad). Anyway the professor who spoke first was a math professor, you may or may not know but math hates me and I hate it.  Once he introduced himself as the math professor I mentally freaked out.

Turns out he wasn't bad at all.  We took a DISC preview "test" I would give you all a link but I cannot find a free one so I got nothing..

Then it was dinner after that we went to the actual concert/pep talk/preaching.
After that those who were staying were sorted to their rooms. If you are a homeschooler visiting a college and staying over night, request to be roomed with another homeschooler...

Because I was having a okay time until I came to my dorm. There was food on the floor and she hasn't taken out the trash. When I was ready for bed the girls in the nearby dorms wanted to watch High school musical.....

At 12am........

........


Shouting. Laughing. Singing. Until 1:30 or so....

Then my roommate came in from the movie....
She asked if she could face time her boyfriend and me being the pushover I am said it was fine......

Until almost three in the morning did I go to sleep praise God!

Then I had to get up at six thirty....

Shove food down my throat, get to the concert and take some awesome small grouped classes..

Then drive four hrs home..

So all in all it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst.. they could have planned a BUNCH better

Anyway I hope you all had a good weekend and are enjoying the wonderful weather XD

Okay ya'll I have some extra time..

This weekend I will be going to Cedarville University to their CU lead conference..

Next post I will tell you all as much as I can about it

But for now I really wanted some relief from school because I am taking three dual college credit classes.. Yay!

But it could be harder:)

Getting back to the point humor is the BEST in this terrible situation and since everyone is indoors

because of the intense cold outside and the intense schoolwork..

So its the first month of the year...

Awwwww! Right?

Well here is a story that is hilarious..

"So you know my sister works as a vet tech.  Well one time this girl brought in this hamster and she 

said he just sat by the cage and wouldn't eat or drink.  My sister asked if the hamster had gotten into anything and the girl said he did escape but they found him under the fridge. After some investigation the hamster was walking around, eating and drinking, acting normal.  Even more investigation and she found out something."

Now think about that, being stuck the side of the cage.. 

I nearly died laughing..

I know this is a short post so I am going to include a snippet of my story..

“Luna Abigail Cozar.”  Called a man at a desk, Luna’s head snapped up as she jolted back to reality.  “Yes.”  Dasan was a greedy and ruthless king; he banned metal and ordered for unique tattoos to be given.  He taxed people so much that it was not rare to see a seven year old in the unemployed line.

 “Age 16, slim, looks to be healthy,” the man, murmured to himself while scribbling on a piece of paper.  “You have been recruited to be in our special DSW project.  You shall be paid $20 a week.  Here is the address.  Get there ASAP.”  Handing her a piece of paper, he called the next person before she could ask what the DSW project was.  The man called the next person; ignoring Luna.  She sighed and started off to the address, adjusting the hose-like sleeve of her t shirt.  It was impossible to go around without a mark on you.  Luna had figured that out quickly; she had found someone who secretly manufactured a hose the color of your skin with a fake mark on it.  Luna’s had a head of a peacock which was silver gray; she had walked a couple of blocks until she came to a very large bricked building.  It seemed to be an orphanage and a mansion combined. 

“What luck?”  Thought Luna excitedly- she had hoped for a job that did not concern being a personal servant or a field worker.  She nervously rapped on the door and tried to put on her brightest smile which soon faded when she saw the nameplate on the door.  “Dasan’s soldier’s of war.”  The rumors were true!  Dasan was going to build and elite teams which would investigate America to see if they could claim it.  She took a step back; there was no way she was going to work for the man that ruined her life!  However, before she could take off, a middle aged woman opened the door and yanked Luna inside.  The lady was wearing a shirt and pants which were pure black, not a hair out of place.  Gripping Luna by the arm, the woman dragged her to a room with a chair and desk littered with paperwork.

 “Sign it.”  Threatened the lady tightening her grip on Luna’s, arm.  Wincing, she began to sign her name but stopped when she realized what the paper said.  “Not to be let go unless dead, shall be in service to the king Dasan the fifth as long as she/he lives.”  The grip of the lady, if possible, grew tighter.

 “Come ON girl,” Luna signed the rest of her name, and crossing her fingers as she did, like that would make a difference she scoffed at herself.  The lady yanked her out of her chair and led her down a corridor, “My name is Miss Hubbons and if you call me anything else you shall go without supper and receive 15 lashes from my whip.  Do you understand?” 

Luna managed to mumble “Yes Ma’am.” 

Miss Hubbons showed Luna around the building but it was impossible to remember all those rooms.  Lastly, she showed Luna where the sleep area was.  Boys and girls were separated so Luna only got to see the girl’s part which consisted of six three-decker bunk beds crammed into each room.  There was a bag on every bed that had a name on it; Luna guessed it was personal stuff that belonged to whoever slept in that bed.  “Since you are new you don’t have to train until tomorrow, although, I advise you to get accustomed to our training as soon as possible.”  Miss Hubbons informed Luna, who, had already picked a bed and began checking for bedbugs and lice.  She learned you can never be too careful.  Miss Hubbons left, leaving Luna to sleep; she would need all the rest she could get.  Luna stared out the window, sleep wouldn’t come, she knew. 

Maybe this was her chance to avenge her parents, to prove to her parents she had the strength to finish what she had started.  After all, it was her fault that her parents had died.  

So how was it?? I have been working on it for ages and it still needs a bunch of work..

Okay, so I would be the character that would be not quite the hero but definitely not the villain..  I think I would be more a weird sidekick, the one that when the hero is knocked out by the villain I would defeat the villain and when the hero woke up I would be like... "Then you were like BOOM! and the villain was like AHHHH.." 

So yeah..

To give and take back powers to whomever I choose... Why?  Because who doesn't want powers?

Well, I have quite a few books so I will choose my latest one... Luna is her name..

Fantasy.. I was into writing fictional history but then I realized the critiques would pick the dates and years apart... "What you see in your mind you can shape in your life"#greenlatern basically sums fantasy..

A place where it gets hot and cold, not in the city but in the wilderness, completely off the grid but near a town in case something happens..

Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus and when family comes over and when you can eat any sweets you want... New years you just get excited about a ball going down.....
