Once upon a time..

I was read this story a long time ago and I have made a promise since.  You may think this story is silly but the core value is amazing.

Long ago, in a wonderful castle on a mountain of splendor, a beautiful princess was born. Her parents were the king and queen of the mountain and all the green valley below.

The king and queen loved the little princess even before the she was were born. On the day she came into the word, the royal
couple gave their daughter a very special gift from God-her first kiss. While the princess was growing up, the king and queen kept this precious gift safe in their care.

Picture of queen and king sitting on a bench with a bunch of sunflowers. Baby reaching out to mother who is holding her.

When the princess was finally grown,  the king and queen called her to their side. "We have something very special for you," said the queen. Up, up, up, the royal family went to a secret room in a tower of the castle. On an elegant table at the center of the room was the same gift given to the princess long ago. The kiss.

Picture of king and queen leading daughter up a winding staircase to this really cool and mysterious wooden door. Next page the princess is staring at a glass encased golden glowing orb thing on a carved stand with a overly starched red pillow.

"God gave this gift to you on the day you were born," said the queen, "Because He loves you so dearly."  "And now," continued the king, "This kiss is yours to kept or to give away as you see fit." the princess stared in amazement. She had never before received such a wonderful present. "But use wisdom, my daughter," warned the king, "and save your kiss for the man you marry. Never part with it for the sake of a stranger." The wise little princess took her father's words to heart and kept the kiss safe in the castle tower. But there were many days when she went to gaze at her precious possession. She wondered how she could ever give it up.

Picture of king, queen and their daughter staring at it.

Finally there came a day when suitors began to appear, asking for the princess' hand in marriage. The first man who came to court her was Prince Peacock. "See the great muscles I have, princess!" He said. "I will always be able to save you from danger. I can run faster and jump higher than any other prince in the world. I am mighty! Marry me, for I am a man among men." The princess watched as Prince Peacock lift heavy boulders and run the length of the castle wall. His strength was impressive, but the wise princess saw that his heart was full of himself. She knew there would be no room for her kiss there, so the princess sent Prince Peacock away.

Picture of an athletic man trying to impress princess. Princess looks scared, with good reason because he looks scary

The next day, Prince Romance came to visit the princess. He brought dozens of boxes of roses and chocolates. "I can take you to many far off places, princess," he said. "We will eat the choicest foods. We will see marvelous sights. Marry me, princess. Everyday will seem like a honeymoon if you are with me." The princess thought about what Prince Romance had said. It sounded very interesting and exciting, but the wise princess knew that honeymoons and wonderful feelings could not last forever.  This prince would soon lose interest in her kiss. The princess turned Prince Romance politely away.

Picture of prince handing her a rose and looks like he is about to quote poetry to her. Princess stares at rose in her hand. Looks like she thinks there is a bug in it.

On the following morning, Prince Treasurechest came to call. He brought gifts of gold, jewels and costly silken robes. "See the presents I have brought you princess," he said.  "You will never lack for fine clothes. Marry me, princess, for I can give you the best of everything." Indeed, when the princess saw the beautiful things the prince had brought her, she did not doubt that he would buy her anything her heart desired. "But with all these riches," she thought, "he does not need my kiss. My kiss will not be special to him." So the princess sent Prince Treasurechest away.

Rather large bearded man holds a rather ugly dress up to the princess and looking bored. Princess looks at the man and seems to be wondering about his taste in clothing

Many men came, one by one, to ask for the princess' hand in marriage. One by one she turned them all away. None seemed worthy of her kiss. She began to doubt that she would ever find a husband. One night, she spoke with her mother, the queen, about her fears.

Bunch of awkward men lined up. Princess looks like she is falling asleep. The next sleeping beauty? i think not:)

"Mama," the princess asked,"will I ever find a man so special that I will be able to give him my kiss?" The queen smiled,  gazing at the many stars twinkling above in the velvet night. "Oh, yes, my dear. I think God will bring a husband to you. But, if he does not, the kiss will be yours to treasure forever." the princess took comfort in that thought, for she knew that God could be trusted, and she cherished the kiss for all that she was.

Mother and daughter in a rosebush garden staring up at the night sky as depicted above.

The next day, a common man came to the castle, he asked to see the princess. The man was dressed in farmers' clothes and did not look like the suitors who had lately come to call. Strong and handsome, his hands were rough from working in the king's field, and his face was tanned from the sun. "Who is he?" the servants wondered as he was led through the castle. The man was taken to the royal garden where the princess and her parents were walking among the rosebushes.

Picture of man knocking on what looks to be the servants entrance to the castle. An old man pops his head out. Lantern in hand, appears to have been napping on duty.

The farmer bowed humbly, and addressed the king and queen. "May I speak with your daughter?" He asked. The princess' mother and father were surprised. Who was this man? He seemed common-yet kindness was in his manner. Nodding slowly, the king and queen moved aside and stood close by. The man looked into the princess' eyes. "I have worked in your fathers fields for many years. I prayed and watched and waited for the one who could be my wife yet found no one. Then one day I saw you walking on the palace lawn. Your beauty was marvelous and your purity sparkled like diamonds." The princess blushed, and her heart began to beat wildly. "I have little to offer you, princess," the man said softly. "I have no gold. I have no means to travel the earth. I am not as strong as many." The farmer stopped and the princess was afraid that he would not continue. Then he whispered, "But I do have one very special gift I can give you."

Picture of man bowing before king and queen in garden. Both parents are blocking the princess from him. Princess tries to peek over her tall fathers shoulder. Flip page and the man takes out a bag that is glowing, he opens it and gets down on his knee. Princess looks amazed.

"This is my first kiss, princess," said the man. "God gave this gift to me on the day I was born. My parents kept it for me until I became a man. I have saved it all my life for you. Would you be my wife?" The king, queen and the princess rejoiced and embraced the humble farmer. Was there any doubt that he was the one, the one the princess had been waiting for? The princess thought her heart would burst with joy! "Yes!" she cried. "Oh, yes, with all my heart!"

Picture of man and princess holding hands, encircled by the king and queen.

On the day of the wedding, the princess and her soon to be husband, were dressed in magnificent clothes and stood before the alter in the royal church, where all the lords and ladies of the kingdom gathered for the celebration. There, with the sun streaming through the windows, they exchanged their kisses and God and all the kingdom sang with happiness. The prince and princess lived happily ever after. Soon God gave them a child of their own. And on the day of the baby's birth, the wise prince and princess received for their child a very special gift from God...

Picture of wedding ceremony. You probably already know what that looks like..

A Male Cat Named Faith and Other Funny Stories

Okay so our family is realistic, we don't believe that kids should be sheltered.

The more they are sheltered the less they will be prepared for life.

If you don't agree I am fine with it, disagree to agree. So anyway onto Faith!

We had five kittens last April.

Four of them all black, except for a few random white spots and a really really really really really fluffy cat.

This really really really fluffy cat was the one that was different, for one it was waaaaay fluffier then 2nd it was black and white.

I called two black cats, Ryleigh (aka Mushu cause he looks like a ancient dragon with all his whiskers.) and Oliver, a pure black cat, very sad because 3 months ago he
went missing :(

My second sister (Iz will be her name online) called the other two cats which were black with faint white patches, Panther, a male and Faith a girl.

My third sister (Re will be her name online) got to pick the fluffy black and white, super fluffy, female cat.

She named her Puddles, why Puddles? Another long story. To tell you the truth Re got first dibs but there you have it:)

So we decided to keep them and have them fixed, females first.

Well, the humane society gives this deal where you only have to pay $100 the vet was different though.

Well, surgery day came and we dropped them off and when we
picked them up the vet pulled us aside.

"Your black cat, Faith, is a male."

Our minds = blown.

Woah!

Did not see that coming, right? Too bad he already came when we called Faith, so we have a male cat named Faith, he knows his name why bother to change it?

For those of you that don't like this, well, I'm sorry but farm life is unexpected. You learn to expect the unexpected.

Way back (maybe 3 years ago) we got a potbellied pig.

Now, most pigs are clean and will only do there business in one spot. (waaaay better then chickens when it comes to that)

He was really cute no bigger than a 5 liter soda bottle on five inch legs, he was a couple of years old and when you scratched under his chin, well, he loved you.

Now here is the awkward part so for those of you reading this feel uncomfortable skip this and go to the next indent.

He started you know, um, there isn't  any good way to say this.. he felt the need to mate.

When we saw this happening everyone jumped on something high so he couldn't get them.

FYI When pigs bite something they can have enough jaw muscle to make a human bone break.

Yeah, scary. We asked vets if they could get him fixed but hardly anyone knew how and those who did...

The price was sky high. So the possessed by hormones pig had to go, we sold him and hope he is in a good home.
                                                             The End (or is it?)

Stay tuned for more weird crazy one of a kind stories!

Modesty is the Best Policy

.....Yes, I did twist that saying;)

Modesty to me is very important.

You're not supposed to judge people but we do anyway.

We judge by the way they act, dress, friends and attitude.

In our culture I see more and more girls dressing immodestly.

It breaks my heart because they are showing themselves off in a manner that is definitely not God honoring.

It also attracts unwanted attention which could lead to even deeper problems, most people are too embarrassed to talk about it.

To tell you the truth I am kind of scared writing this, to be judged by other people by the way I write, or rather, type.

Confidence is not my strong point although I can be very stubborn.

How you act with your friends is important, do your friends know you're a Christian?

Are you able to trust them? How do you act when its just you and your siblings? Do you treat them fairly?

How do you treat your parents? With respect?

I felt that God is laying this on my heart, no one is "just a teenager and can do nothing," we are the next generation and if we don't change who will?

Books are going bad?

Books are going bad?

I thought only fruit did this...

Thought that was a great opener XD anyway I am following a blog-- HERE

She was recently typing about the cussing in books and movies for young adults. I
agree with this completely and advise you to check it out because

1 she is awesome :)
2 this is the truth, if we don't do something then who will?

You have to admit, this world is getting pretty, well, tense.

So please check it out and comment below on your thoughts on the matter!

I am not a # aka pound button or now formerly known as hash tag but they have this #Rebel something.

Again I apologize, I am not "in the modern times" This is the person who started it all.

Please click there to learn more, warning she is blunt:)

I hope that we can change, books are what inspire movies, they are both the intake of our country and it is infecting us.

What does it take to be popular?

Celebrity, do they have to give up their right to privacy to become popular?

I have often wondered this and recently had to answer the question.

There may be many different views on this and please note that this is my opinion, what I believe about this matter.

This does not mean I am right, this is just an opinion.

Everyone can name a celebrity and know a little something about them.

Granted they can't live a private life but everyone has a right to privacy.

Why is privacy so important?

Truth is, we all have something to hide, something that we don't want everyone to know about.

We hide that away in the deepest corner of our souls but if you look at the magazines the celebrities are having it pried from them.

Some ask, "People on social media aren't at all private, why should celebrities?"

That statement isn't at all true, everyone has something to hide."

I think that some celebrities may release their privacy at their disposal, this of course is to get attention.

Now this really isn't about celebrities, this is about everyone.

To be anyone, you need to get attention, to do that you either fabricate (not pointing fingers at any celebrity in particular) or you give up your privacy.

People want to know everyone's secrets.

Curiosity killed the cat, curiosity killed the cat because the cat was curious in the wrong thing.

Privacy is important whether we acknowledge that in public or not.

Poems- Yes I can write them.....most of the time...

Poems I have written NOTE: I am not writing these to be boastful or show off, I only hope to inspire others:)

The Beach Life

The beach life is rewarding, yet sad, the waves lapping each day.
You go down each week to see if there is any change in your bay.
Walking down the stretch of sand littered with trash.
People don’t realize the most important thing is not cash.
Attention they do not pay.
Living carelessly, harming the world they live in, they won’t change their way.
They are all in a race to see who can get what in their mad dash.
Ah, the beach life rewarding, yet sad.
While I’m walking I pass a large cay.
It is as wide and as tall as two school buses but I’m not scared because I know the way.
The animals in the shallow water were having a beach bash.
As I walk along the beach my toes get a mixture of seaweed and mud, sea mash.
I found my favorite place, spread my towel and lay.
Ah, the beach life is rewarding yet sad.

Angel
I was an angel flying high above the trees,
I was flying faster then it seemed and did in the air whatever I pleased,
I did not pay attention to where I was headed; little did I know what was in store.
I saw my Lord and Savior, standing on that clouded golden shore.
I saw Him waving, a bunch of angels sang, my heart danced, overflowed with happiness.
I looked down from heaven and saw my family down they’re weeping over me,
I then saw a person, who was being robbed at gunpoint, another activating a bomb.
I looked to Jesus and said, “Sir, I feel I have to go back down, my family is down there,
I want to spread the Gospel.”  He smiled at me and I thanked him for giving up his life.
I understood this was a lesson about life’s strife, how it can make you blind to the real.
I then woke up in a sweat, my mom looking quite anxious, God’s grace is complete.

Random I Don't Have a Name For xD

I want to be a good kid but I fail almost every time,

I try to make up poems but they don’t have that certain rhyme,

I try and clean the house but it never seems to be good enough,

I try and cook but end up with a piece of rough charcoal which was a grilled cheese sandwich,

I try and do my school faithfully but just can’t seem to be academically gifted,

I try and do my best but I have not quite sifted out all my problems,

I want to go outside and play all day no school or work in anyway,

I need to climb a tree go and do something carefree, so please, set me free.

(i have at least gotten better at cooking XD)

HOW TO STAND YOUR GROUND
Forgiveness is a hard thing to do,
With me and my family it’s not anything new.
God says, “Seventy times seven,” or “forgive your brother and I will forgive you.”
However, truly forgiving and letting go is a hard thing to do.
Being a Christian isn’t easy when someone smites you.
Some people saying backing down is being a coward
Actually it’s being brave-powered.
Bravery is not only standing up but also backing down,
A fine line it is hard to define.
How to Stand Your Ground.

                        Love part 1
Love doesn’t have to be a romance,
Love is more a grow-mance.
Because some people are hard to love, challenges make me grow.
It’s hard when someone rains down hate and despair,
But just know God has been there.

   IT’S UP TO US

Where is the love in this world?
Is it all hate and deception?
Is it cruel and rebelling?
Is it turning for the worse?
Is murder on the rise?
Is hope about to die?
Is there good in this evil world?
Is there still a chance we can change?
Or can we still have a say?
In our day, today?
God creates light and loves us dearly which means,
There is love in this world,
There is hate but God still reigns.
There might be rebelling people but God takes care of you.
There is hope in this world God loves cares and watches over us.
We can change but it is up to us.

  A poem I like:

Jump 1.0
Do you think you stand a chance
Diving off into the abyss?
Do you think that you'll advance
Even without an assist?
Will you learn to find you wings
And travel to the paradise that life brings?
Triumphant in your success,
You can finally rest,
Assured that your future is bright
And you did your best
To see that your seeds take flight.
So why be in fright?
You're already in a slump.
Why don't you take a chance
...and just jump?

PS
The last one I read to my dad and he starts laughing.
I am so confused so I ask why he is laughing and between breaths he says something along the lines of... "What if they are at a cliff?
You're telling them to jump."
Just thought I would share and cheer a day up

. Thanks for reading, hope you aren't bored XD

Tired

"Are you tired of having bad hair days?

Well, we have the solution here at beautiful hair!"

If only your hair was the problem. Are you tired?

Tired of doing the same thing, same routine over and over?

Tired of working, trying so hard only to fail?

Cheer up, life gets better.

You may be having a tough time right now, everyone has had at least one.

It's tough but needed, you learn from the tiredness and as time flies you realize that you're not in that situation anymore.

Just know that no matter how tired you are that God doesn't give you too much.
